Air France Adopts Green Aircraft Cleaning Methods

Air France has adopted a new environmentally-friendly method of cleaning its aircraft. The new Ecoshine process, which will be applied to the entire Air France fl eet, is estimated to save eight million litres of water every year, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 57 metric tons per year.

The new product requires only a small amount of water compared with traditional cleaning. The frequent exterior cleaning and polishing of the aircraft also provides optimal air penetration, thus reducing fuel burn and CO2 emissions.
