Japan Airlines to Start Supplying Free Wi-FI Onboard

Japan Airlines (JAL) will begin offering high-speed internet services onboard select international flights from the summer of 2012. The airline will initially install Panasonic’s eXConnect broadband solution on its fleet of Boeing 777s, on routes to Europe and North America. The airline plans to eventually equip its entire long-range fleet with broadband.

Customers with their own personal electronic devices will be able to access the internet in-flight, enabling customers in every cabin class to check and send emails and access the web.
